Grâce à l'institut Media Create, les chiffres de vente software japonais sont désormais connus pour la période allant du 30 juillet au 5 août 2018.

Durant cette période, Etrian Odyssey X d'Atlus sur Nintendo 3DS et Border Break de SEGA AM2 sur PlayStation 4 sont sortis. Le jeudi 2 août précisément.

Etrian Odyssey X est en tête du classement et affiche 71.946 exemplaires. Pour mémoire, Etrian Odyssey V avait réalisé un lancement brillant à 92.518 ex. début août 2016.

Border Break est 13e du classement et affiche 8.249 exemplaires. Le jeu ne fait pas d'étincelles mais il va surtout faire carrière en free to play avec des achats intégrés.
