Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is the original comic, written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, currently being serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. With 13 comics published and over 22 million total copies in circulation, it has become a sensation among manga fans.
Set in a world where a hero and his party have already defeated the Demon King, the story details the journey afterward of the 1,000-year-old mage who slew the Demon King alongside the hero, as well as the new people she meets along the way. The first season of the anime aired in Japan from September 2023 to March 2024, gaining a wide range of fans both in Japan and internationally.
